an open letter for Beijing 2008

Two days before the Olympic Torch was in Paris. Usualy it's a big popular and happy moment but what I saw on TV and yesterday in newspaper was terrific. I couldn't imagine french people insult their own athletes. I will really not want to be at Paris at that moment. CIO gave the Games to China so I think it's a big chance for that country to open more to the world. We couldn't ask them to be perfect in 5 minutes. I think if we look in the last 20 years, they already made big effort and they still continue. Olympic and Paralympic Games are an open door to the world for be friends with other countries. Of course there are problems in Tibet but it's not a problem which happen yesterday, it's a 50 years old problem which not find a solution by kill the Games. This politic problem need time and talks. The Games must be a dream for young people who want to be athletes. What I saw in Paris is not a dream. « One world, one dream » are really the spirit of the Games. We have only one world so I think we have to give our hand to China. I gone many time in that country and I saw people happy to wait the Games. I read that chinese people know nothing about what happen outside of China, it's not the reality !
I have many good chinese friends and some will be for ever in my heart and helped me and made things with me really beautiful. I'm an athlete, I done two time Paralympic Games and I hope to qualify for Beijing, I work hard for that. So I think we have to enjoy that Games. There are not so happy big events like the Games which every country can join.
China is a country with very long history and its' a big part of the world population. They have the right to have the Games and I'm happy it will be here. Which country can say there is no human right in China ? which country is enough good for that ? Like I said it's not a perfect country but if people continue to destroy the symbol of the Games, maybe China will stop to open so much. It's not good.
I believe than athletes and supporters will go to China will discover very good people here and make good friendship. I dream to go here....It's my dream.
